Last night a new programme, of illusions was presented, interesting and mystifying the audience. Mr iUaskelync's illusion, "Elixir Vitae 1 ' was uncanny — the spectacle of a headless man walking about the stage with his head tucked under his arm gave one a creepy feeling. "Miss Daffodil Downey's Seance," a spiritualistic sketch, was another clever performance. Ointaro, the Japanese juggler, was warmly applauded for his feats of balancing, etc. Mr Owen Clark introduced some now coin and handkerchief trirks, and MY (iainmon was intensely amusing in Ins song and character sketches, etc. The whole entertainment was Ihnioiisrhiy enjoyed, by the audience. This evening the final performance will be given, and another large attendance may be looked for. Mr J. A. A[athe£on. representing the Burnt-Johnson fight pictures (under the dirertion of Mr Fuller) is at present in Nelson arranging for a Feason here. Dates will be announced later,
