TO-DAY'S SHOOTING.

THE WELLINGTON MATCH. TRENTHAM, Monday. Shooting commenced to-day with the Wellington Match, at 500 yards. It is the intention to complete that and the 600 yards to-day, and part of the Otago Match at 800 yards. The weather is fine, but from the start a brisk left wind blew fitfully, and a good many marksmen failed to get upon the bull. Milroy (Nelson), for instance, only got 36, while Boys, who had already won two matches, scored only 41. On the Somerville range there were three possibles j scored— Mack'ay (Dunedin), Jackson (Einwood),an d Potter (Auckland). Willoughby, of Gladstone, and Glendining (Napier), made all-buts, while 48 s and 47''s were numerous, and on the whole the shooting was excellent. The match is still in progress. Later.

The shooting at the 500 yards range for the Wellington Match closed with two additional possibles— Halliday (Karori) and Fisher (Wellington).
