Messrs Bisley Bros, and Co. report as follows : — { Since our last live stock report a; fortnight ago, farmers have been selling and buying freely at our various' yards, the prices being satisfactory .'md tha values well maintained. The little weakening tendency at our last sale was caused no doubt by the dry weather wie are experiencing, but with | rain we predict an advance in prices of Is to 2s a head almost immediately. On Friday last w« held our annual ram, store and fat stock sales at Bich-. nuond yards. Rams at this fixture ' numbered 500, cattle 300, and sheep 3000. This is really the sale of the year, farmers always exhibiting -great interest in this event. Thj> following prices were realised : — Komney Marsh rams, £1 12s 6d to £3 "ss; Enslish Leicester, £1 12s 6d to £2 17s '6d; Shropshire, £1 2s 6d to £2 10s; Sonthdowns, £1 10s to £2. For Lincoln and. Mterino there was very little competition, and a few were sold up to £2, but large lots were pass, ed in. Sheep : Good weathers, forward stores, 9s 3d to 10s sd; fats to 12s; ewes, good stoves, 8s 6d to 10s; inferior, 5s Id to 7s; young ewes, 2 id 4-tooth, 10s 3d. Store lambs, for which there was keen competition, brought 7s to 8s for good stores ; medium size, 5s to 6s 6d. j Cattle : Yonng steers made from £l Gs to £2 2s 6d; heifers in calf, to £L 17s 6d: young stores, under ten months £1 6s to £1 8s; well grown 3-year-old heifers to £3 Is; stone bullocks. £3 18s to £4 Is; fat bullocks £5 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d; heifers and cows, fat, £5 12s 6d ; cows, £3 to £4 10s. Pigs: Fat stores made 15s to 21b; weaners, about 10 weeks old, made 10s to 13s. Golden Downs.— On Tuesday the 2nd inst., we held our first sale of station lines at Golden Downs, which will in future be . an*- annual .fixture. The attendance was large arid the competition good. Some 4000 sheep were yarded, and. cattle -and. horses wore in good numbers. The P"°Pf realised were satisfactory.'
