[United Peess Association.] INVERCARGILL, Thursday. ■U the Supreme Court to-day David Buchanan was chared with assaulting Mary Ann Jones with intent, and also with a subsequent assault on the same person. Evidence iptlk-a'ed that there hud been a drunken row in -Mrs Jones house, and the jury found the accused ' guilty of common a«ault. Ihe accused, who gave his age as 20, has been ' in gaol sinie C9th December, and the 1 Judg<! ordered a further imprisonment ' for three months. Samuel Francis living Crofts sued ' for a divorce from Mary Alison Crotts "' on the grounds of alkged misconduct " with tho co-respondent, Jack. A decree nisi was granted.
