HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. [United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A cable from the High Commissioner, dated Lndon, Feb. Bth, says: — The wool sales closed firm, with good demand for all descriptions; but, except for lots suitable for America, which are 'id higher, tho opening gain on medium aud coarse qualities is lost. Values generally are now about tho same as at the December sales. America has purchaed freely, and the market is uncertain, but hopeful. The estimated values are as follows: — Superior merino, ]t%d to Is I'/jd; medium merino 9d to lid; inferior merino, GV-jd to BV>il; fine crossbreds, all grades, lid to Is l'-l>d; medium crossbreds, all grades, SVid to lid; coarse crossbreds, all grades, 6d to 9d.
