LONDON, Sunday. The wool sales closed strong with most sorts at the highest level of tHe series. Choice 70's and Merinoes were equal to the London prices of January last; 64's suitable for America were ld below the November-December Tates. There was a strong and steady competition for average combings for the Home trade and the Continent at full December rales. Topmarkers in crossbred? were firm at the December rates, and parcels suitable for America showed a 10 per cent, advance on the December rates. During the series 93,000 bales were sold for the Home market, 88,000 for the Continental market, and 12,000 for America, 8000 being held over.
