SKINS, HIDES, TALLOW AND WOOL SALES.
Messrs Bisley Bros, and Co. report:. Our first skins, hides, wonl and tallow sale took place at our rooms on Friday, when the whole of the cata-' loj»ue was disposed of. The prices' realised were, considering the general-<<et-up of the skins, up to the fullmarket value, and it can be taken as a very satisfactory sale. The catalogue included some 300 assorted skinsj a muiiber of hides, a quantity of tallow, and bags of wool. Thc following are the prices realised: — Sheep Skins.—WelL-wooled to 4j,d a lb.; medium, 3Jd to 4id; rough,-re-cantly shorn;* realised 3£a to 3^d; pelts and rough recently shorn skins withont being trimmed, witV'-disAks,-etc., thereon, realised from 7d Ttoj IX 2d each. A line of green skins ilstt on the rough side, ls lOd each. Several hags of docks and pieoeß of wool brought lid a lb. : : Hides.—Calves from 3s 6d to 7s od; «ws, small, to 10s; ox to 17s 6d.; In every case the hides were badly gotup and showed great want of trimming and preparing for market. j ITlalVow.— Rough -iat for renderipgdown realised lis a cwt., and-by private salo a line of well Tendered tallow realised 16s. The next skin, wool, hides and tallow sale will be held at our rooms on the 4th March. This fixture should meet al! .wners of skins, etc., not only butchers, but farmers and dealers, tfbo will be killing through the freezing worlds. After this fixture our sales will be held fortnightly
