NELSON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
THE SPRIXG SHOW. Tha Conunittee of the Xe'.son Hoiticultural Society met last evening, to complete the preparation of the schedule of the show to be hdd on November 20th and 21st. Mr \V. Heaps, the President, occupied the chair, and thele was a, large attendance of members of the Committee.. The schedule was finally adopted, and it will be published in a few days. It was resolved to ask Dr Red-man, of Picton, and Mr T. Waugh, of, the Hutt, to judge the (lowers at the show; Mr B. H. Moller was appointed to judge fruit and vegetables; and Mr M. P. Webster the sundries section, comprising jams, sauces, etc. A new departure was made in regard to the judging of the decorated tables. Five ladies will bo selected for this task, and they will bo required to judge individually and by ballot. A number of special prizes were offered, and allotted, and others are expected. It was reported that the prospects for the show were very bright, and that the capacity of the Drill Hall would be severely taxed to accommodate the exhibits. Various, matters connected with the show were discussed, and the meeting adjourned
