Tho "Standard," commenting on the Australian reception of Lord Dudley, the new Governor-General, says that the question ahead is especially lack of population, which needs an immediate and urgent remedy. The paper adds that fortunately Lord Dudley may rely on the capacity and determination of the able and devoted men in office under him, and on the spirit and energy of the Australian people.
