THE TAILORS' AWARD. '" - TvTS&LETOTOtf, Friday. Judgment was delivered this afternoon by 'Mr Justice Sim in the Arbitration Court- in the ease of the Tailors' Union versus the D.1.C., an application for the enforcement of the tailors', award. In the clause dealing- with "bespoke work." "it • is desirable ~to add," said his Honor, "that Mr Corrigan, the manager for the respondents, appears to have done • what- he reasonably could do to preyentgny breach of award. He gave Mr Ktzell special instructions in writing on the subject in the end of 1906, and if these instructions,, had been carried out no breach- of tho award would have taken place." The Court held that on the evidence it was clear that the suit made for Reardon must be treated as having been made -and sold- as tailor-made.
