"MADE IN GERMANY."
AN UNDESIRABLE'S ACTION. [I'micd Pbess Association.] DANNEVIRKE, Thursday. To-day a young man named William Richter, who is a recent arrival from Germany, was before the Court. It appears that on July 4th he stole a bicycle at Masterton, and rode through to Danevirge. He there visited the resi dence of Mr F. W. Knight, and asked for food, which was supplied him. Afterwards he entered the house by an open window, and stole a jewel case belongine to Mrs Williams. He proceeded to Napier, but returned on August sth, when he again entered tho house of Mr Knight, but being discovered he decamped without getting any spoil. Eventually he was arrested in Wellington for tho theft of the bicycle. In the lining of his coat was found a ring which Mrs Williams could identify. He pleaded guilty to stealing tho jewel case, and was committed for sentence. He received a sentence of three months' imprisonment for the theft of the bicycle, tie also was sent for sentence for a theft committed at Papatawa.
