THE DROUGHT IN OTAGO.
[United Pbess Association.] OAMARU, Saturday. Heavy rain,- which appears to have been general throughout the district, fell last night and early this morning. Crops and grass will be greatly benefited. A.s a consequence farmers in town to-day are more hopeful. Although it is" fine today the weather is still threatening.
