Word from Kingston, Jamaica, states that an earthquake from the south-east was especially severe at Port Boya] (the harbour of Kingston), destroying the walls of temporary buildings -nnder construction there. During a dash for the open, 40 men of the Royal Gar- - rison Artdlery and Koyal Engineers, were injured, 11 seriously, and 15jwero conveyed to the hospital. The pani cwas intensified by a curious disturbance of the sea near the coast. Six soldiers of the West India regiment were injured at Uppark while making a similar dash. VALPARAISO, Friday. An earthquake has destroyed a number of houses and two railway bridges in Valdinavia (Southern Chili), when Sve persons were kiled.
