[United Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND, "Monday. " he School Committee elections in the City and Suburbs passed off quietly tonight, there being no burning questions to engage the attention of householders. Some of the suburban meetings were very poorly attended, and tins fact was the subject cf some adverse comments. Mr P. Mackay was reelected Chairman of the City Schools Committee. DUNEDIN, Monday, me school committee elections were held to-night, and passed off quietly, lhe questions of technical education and teachers' salaries were discussed at some of the meetings.
