The bill was read a fiist time. The Assets Realisation Board Lauds Bill, Thn Military Pensions Act Amendment 13 ill, the Kailway Authorisation Bill, and the Poiscns hup rlation and Carria ;e Amendment Bill were read a firtt time. A new clause in the Mining Act Amendment Bill was -brought dourn :it provides tbat where a mine owner gets protection from being fally manned the men employed shall be wages men. The clause, Mr McGowan explained, docs not affect tuiues worked by tribute. The new clau-e was « greed to.
