On Siturday afternoon the Nelson Gui Club opeued its seasoi in Iho grounds and tyas favoured with fine weatbor, There was a fair attendance of momb: ps and the inanimate bird handicap for tin President's trophy was keenly contested beinir ultimately won by Mr Knight. & scratch competition was afterwards helc and was won by Mr Sqnires, The following a.xs tbe chief scores foi the handicap for the president's trophy :
