LONDON, August 13,
Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, Leader of the Liberal Party in the House of i ommons, and Sir William Harcourt described the " Sp9Ctator's" statement that Mr Rhodes contributed ,£SOOO to the Liberal election fund on condition that the Liberals ehould not sanotion the polioy of withdrawing from Epypt as a lie. The "Spectator" expresses belief in its authority for the statement, and asks for a denial from a hotter source.
