LOSS OF THE CUTTER STAR.

THE CHEW SAFE. (United Preßs Association.") INVERCARGILL, October 20. The two men supposed to have been lost with the cutter Star are safn. It appears that the craft was off Point Adventure, Stewart Island, when one of tbe men waa knocked overboard and the other had to go to his assistance in a dingy. By the time the man was picked up the cutter had drifted off the land before a heavy wind, and tbe boat was too small to venture after her. Having put his mate ashore, the other tried io reach Point Adventure and get help to go after the cutter, but became exhausted and was picked up by tho s.s. I'espatch, which was running a'.onir the coast.
