LARGE CONSIGNMENT BY THE TONGABIRO. [United Press Asßooiation.) WELLINGTON, January 26. Mr Knowlton, agent of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, who has returned from England, has procured over 200 birds, mostly from England and eome from Hungary, including pheasants, mallard, widgeon, teal, and partridge?, English, French and Hungarian. Unfortunately, rough weather was encountered in the Bay of Biscay, and seas swept over the deck on which the orates were packed, killing a large number of the Mrds. However, about 150 have been landed in excellent condition.
