A curious oiioumstauce has occurred in connection with the municipal nomination for the Punedin South Ward. Mr H. 8. *«h was nominated some days ago, and on Wednesday evening the nomination , paper of Mr 0. R; Chapman was dropped , into the letter box of the Mission Hall, the [ place appointed, bat when the Returning Officer examined the box, that nomination paper was, not in the box. Ihere was a nomination paper of Mr Bhacklock. It is presumed that some lamkuiß iished the paper out of the letterbox.
