MR WARD RESIGNS.

Wellington, This Day. At the caucus of Ministerial members the Premier announced tbat lie had received Mr Ward's resignation. Mr Ward, who was present, said this was probably the last time he should meet members in caucus. Mr Seddon also announced that the Government intended to appoint* a Parliamentary Committee to inquire into the affairs both of the Bank of New Zealand and of the Colonial Bank.
