Wellinbton, This Day, It !b stated that the banking legislation referred to in the Governor's Speech will make provision for the payment of the first year's earnings of the bank for the interest on the £500,000 of preferred shares taken by the oolony in the bank. The Aot oi last session makes no provision ior Buoh payment, bub leaves it to the pleasure of tbo shareholders.
