The Catterihun Inquiry.

Sydney, This Day. The Marine Board found that the loss of the steamer Catterthun was caused firstly by Captain Shanon navigating too close to the land on a stormy night, and ordering a course which brought the vessel too near a well known danger in the vicinity of the Seal Rocks, and secondly by Mr Lanfear, second mate, altering the couise without authority, thus causing her to strike the Rooks. The Hoard will deal with f .he latter's certilicato on Monday,
