Workers' Union Conference.

The New Zealand Workers' Union Conference at Temuka yesterday afternoon re-elected Mr O'Diicn ns secretary. Resolutions were passed that the secretary should have a voice, but no vote at meetings; that the attention of shearers be drawn to the injustice to rotiseabouts through working overtime unless they are given a voice in the matter ; approving the principle of old age pensions ; that it was inadvisable to admit Chinamen into the Union ; that New Zealand shearers in Australia should get their tickets endorsed by representatives at the slieds; that the Union use every legitimate means to prevent shearers from going to Australia should a strike occur ; that the expenses of the delegates be 10s a day and second class fares. A motion to to raise tbe subscription to 10s all round was lost by the ens', ing vote, in favour of an amendment that labourers' subscription be o» and women's and boys' •2s Gd. A motion that, the Conference sit overy two years was lost-.
