CBICKET.
The fourth match between Motuekaand Biwaka was played on Saturday, and resulted In the third win for the local men. Motueka was rather badly beaten by an innings and one run. No doubt the result was mainly due to the splendid bowling oi E. Askew, wbo was quite up to his old form, and apparently qnite unplayable, as in the second innings seven wickets were placed to bis credit for about four runs. Motueka scored 41 in the first innings, and Biwaka 60. The prinoipal scorers for Motueka were Palmer 9, Baigent 10, and S. Bowling 12. For Biwaka, 3. Dunoan made 24, L. Duncan 11, and E. Askew 10.
Thus, when Motueka took the wickets a second time, tbey wanted 19 runs to save a one-innings defeat; but so deadly was the bowling of Askew that they obtained only 18. Biwaka thus winning by an innings and one run. .
