God's giaco as a lesson of humility to ml Chrisiann. Ho thin t ._J_ trt his text Matthew, chap, xxvii, veree 22 — " What shall I then do wi.h Jesus." Pdhte, he said, knew what he ought) to do witb Him, but there were a great m.<ny difficu'" ti^p in the way, and he tried to evade .era. He wanted them to deal with it honestly. Many of them knew what they ought to do, but they had hitherto evaded the question. In a very earnest and forcible address he asked them what they were going to do with the free gift of pardon offered, with the atonement made, with the pleadings of Jesus. In illustrating the latter he referred to the monument erected in the Isle of Wight by the Queen to Princess Elizabeth, the daughter of Charles 1., who was found dead with her finger upon the words of Scripture " Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and I will give yo" rest." The monument is a copy of this position and act. The rev. gentleman evidently has fche power of attracting and keeping large audiences by preaching the simple gospel. Another evangelistic address will be given in the Provincial Hall this evening. To-morrow afternoon there will be an address to men only in the Theatre, and in the evening an evangelistic address at the same place, On Monday evening the mission will be closed with a lecture on the Tabernacle, illustrated,
