LAND BOARD.

The Larid Board met yesterday, when Messrs 0. Curtis, Hursthouse, and Commie* Bioner Greenfield vrore present. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Prospecting Licenses. The undermentioned licenses were granted for 12 months, viz :— No. 365, W. A. Hills, 10 acres, Rintoul district ; 366, Z, C. Home, 440 acres, Ngakawau ; 367, John Gilmer, 400 acres, Ngakawau. Accommodation House Rksexv.es. Resolved, That the Board recommend the lease of the Upper Motueka Reserve (known as Stewart's) should be let by public auction, for the term of 14 years on. the conditions contained in the draft lease submitted by the Commissioner, and that Mr Stewart's improvements be protected by the sum of £150 being the upset price of the lease. Resolved. That the license held by Mr Wright for the accommodation house and land in Motueka Valley be renewed for seven years on the same terms and conditions. The undermentioned application for lease was refused, viz. :— No. 1861, W. Bird, section 5, block IV., Waitakere.
