GREYMOUTH RACES.
(From our own Correspondent.) [Third Day.] Greymouth, Friday night. The third days's racing came off* to-day. The attendance was smaller than yesterday, but the general events were hotly contested. Great interest was taken in the Eaiiway Stakes, lj miles, when Volunteer and Hinemoa tried conclusions, the mare conceding her opponent 21bs. It was a good race for a mile and a quarter, Hinemoa winning rather easily at the finish. Hurdle Bace, 2 miles. — Lillipee 1, Levant 2. Bailway Plate, 1£ miles — Hinemoa I, Volunteer 2. Stewards' Handicap, lj miles— Hinanoa 1, Maggie 2. Consolation Stakes, 1 mile. — Cardigan 1, Lady Ellen 2, Crazy Jane 2. Wanderer came in first but was disqualified. Forced Handicap, lj miles — Hinenoa 1, Cardigan 2.
