CORRESPONDENCE.
TO THE ED-'*OK OP THE "EVENING MAIL." Sib,— lt is evident the Chairman of the Upper Mmtere School Committee is trying to thrpv dust in the eyes of the public by statin? that the Education Board did not reje't; the petition respecting the division of th' school district, but simply laid it aside fit further consideration at the next meeting, thereupon the Committee again wrote to 'the Board urging that their request be granted. Now, Sir. I think everybody who read the reports of the last two meetings of the Board will know the value of the above statement, and therefore it needs no further comment on my part. Your other correspondent, " Moutere Elector," appears to me to he sailing trader false colors, because every true Moutere elector is aware that the distance ;between the two schools (Sarau and Neudorf) is not more than from two to three miles, an-l not five as he would like to make the public believe it to be. Perhaps he thinks it better to write something than nothing. I am, &c, Householder. Moutere, December 22nd, 1884.
