APPROACHES TO CHRIST CHURCH.

To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir, — As a stranger, and an admirer of your beautiful and picturesque township (which I quit with regret), I would call attention to the defenceless state of the footpath on the S.E. side of Christ Church, being a sufferer from a severe fall after attending evening service yesterday. Trusting something may afc onee be done to prevent a more serious accident, lam, &c, Tourist. Bank Hotel, August 9, 1869. [This is not the first complaint we have received of the dangerous state of the footpath on the Church Hill. We trust that some steps will be taken to prevent a repetition of such accidents. — Ed. E. M7\
