Honesty Rewarded (?). — As a welldressed person was walking down Bridgestreet on Friday last, he, in pulling out his handkerchief, dropped a pocket-book. This was observed by a working man, who picked it up, and at once going up to the person who had dropped it, tapped him on the shoulder, and asked him whether he had lost anythiug? A reply was given in the negative, when he was asked to feel his pockets. This was done, aud the answer was, " I have lost my pocket-book." The finder at once handed it to the rightful owner, who opened it nervously, took out a roll of notes, counted them, and then said, " Seventy pounds three shillings. Ye.°, it's all right, thank you!" He then turned on his heel and walked away, seemingly forgetful thafc the finder was at all events morally, if not legally, entitled to a reward. Such au act of liberality is well worth' recording. — ( Communicated.)
