[Some of onr subscribers not having received the Extra published last evening, we republish it to-day.] COMMERCIAL. London, June 19. The stock market is firm. The recent rise has induced numerous transactions. On the 18th June discount was | per cent, on short bills. Australian securities in demand. Victorian Government Six per cents., January aud July, £114 to £116; April and October, £111 to £113. New South Wales Five per cents. 1871-1876, January and July, £100 to £102; ditto Five per cents. 1878-1895, January and July, £90 10s. to £100 10s. New Zealand Five per cents, 1991, £98 to £100; Six per cents, March and September, £110 to £112. Queensland Five per cents, January and July, £109 to £110. Bank of Australia, £53 to £55. Victoria, 35/ to 37/. English, Scottish, and Australian, quoted 17/ 10s to 18/ 10s.
Further decline in wool ; this is true of all kinds. Prices considered equal to those in March.
The civil war was still raging in China.
The Governor of Ceylon had left on leave of absence. Major-General Hodgson is Acting Governor at Galle.
Freights are lower. The P. and 0. steamer Benares, stranded on Fisherman's Rock, in the China Seas, on the 17th May. The passengers were saved, and also a portion of the cargo. Hopes were entertained of getting the vessel off.
