consequently dismissed the case, telling the plaintiff that he was in the hands of any person who chose to proceed against him to recover the penalty of £50, imposed by the Stamp Act, 1866. J. Porthouse v. David Edwards. — Action to recover £25 ss. 3d. for board aud lodgings, and cash lent. Some items being iv dispute, judgment was given by consent for the plaintiff for £23 ss. 3d., and 225. costs, payable within 14 days. H. V. Phillips v. J. Cordial.— Action to recover £5 17s. 2d., amount of articles of grocery supplied to the defendant, who did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff for £5 17s. 2d., and 13s. costs. J. Gunther v. W. Gibbs. — Action to recover £3, being the balance of £6, the price of a horse sold to the defendant. Judgment for plaintiff for [£3, with 13s. costs.
E. Green v. Morey.— Action to recover £5 14s, being the amount of the defendant's costs in the action Morey v. Green, tried in December, 1866. This case was adjourned until Wednesday next. K. Murray v. H. Green. — Action to recover £3, balance of wages due to the plaintiff. This case was also adjourned until Wednesday next. Cordial v. Cordial. — This case, adjourned from last Court day, was finally settled yesterday, the husband to have the custody of his two daughters, and the wife that of the youngest child, a boy, until the age of 14 years, and to receive 10s. a -week from her husband for his support.
