London. Soptembfr 25. Money market remains in same position as last month. First-class foreign bank paper loan at 1 per cent., aud even lower. Mercantile bills If. li per cent. A complete deadlock has occurred owing to advance of money, and want of means of employment. A violent reaction is expected hourly. Bank stock is depressed, owing to reduced dividends. The decline in British Funds is owing to the interpretation put on Count Bismarck's'circular by French opposition journals. Wool Eepohts—Third series of colonial wool sales terminated on ti.e ">.lst September. The total bales catalogued -were 143.000. The attendance of home buyers was good, and the prices realised were equal to the average rates of the May aud June series. Sydney and Port Phillip Wools were in large supply- Choice flocks were scarce, and commanded extreme rates. Inferior first lower than at the last sales. - Late rates for scoured were fully maintained., Adelaide wool waß not in demand, New Zealand. found ready
purchasers at a reduction of one penny per pound. The manufacturers of woollen goods are fully employed, but only buy for immediate wants. Shipping — Departures for New Zealand. — Chili, Wild Duck, Bessie Greenfell.
