A letter from Mitylene, published in the Levant Herald, says the shocks of •earthquake have nearly ceased, and there is some improvement in the general state of thiags : — This morning there was a grand procession and solemn thanksgiving for cessation of the calamity ; nearly the whole of , the survivors, who had kept a strict fast during the three previous days, attended the ceremony.
