HOUGH'S PASS.
To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — The reports of the discovery of two availnble roads to the Karamea which appeared ia your paper yesterday must interest the public. It is now some years since Mr Hough announced the existence of the pass, but his report was smothered •with ridicule at the time, and discredit thrown on his discovery ever since. Some substantial testimouy to Mr Hough, not only from the Government, but the public, wiil surely follow the substantiation of that gentlemau's valuable discovery. Faieplat. June 20, 1867.
