The lion. Col. Russell promised all the detailed information the Government could give, concerning the measures adopted by the native minister out of court, of claims of friendly natives to land at Taranaki and Waitara. ' ; , The Legislative Council Limitation Bill was referred to a Select Committee. The Poison Administration Prevention Bill was read a third time and passed, the following clause having been adopted: — Whosoever shall by any means other than those specified in any of. the provisions contained in any Act now in force in this colony attempt to- commit murder, shall be guilty of felony, and being convicted thereof, shall be liable at the discretion of the Court to be kept in a penal servitude for life or for any term not less than three years, or to be imprisoned for any term not exceeding two years, with or without hard labor, and with, or without solitary confinement. • ' ' ' ,
