VICTORIA.
Wc understand that Mr. Fellows had succeeded iu the task of forming an administration, but that his Excellency the Governor declined to assent to the conditions on which the hon. gentleman aud his colleagues were prepared to accept office. The McCuliock Ministry having resigned without making any provision for the Public Service, j Mr. Fellows asked Governor in the event of , the present Assembly refusing to vote supplies, to grant a dissolution, as the only constitutional mode by which a government could be carried on. This his Excellency declined to do, and the result is therefore now doubtful. — Melbourne Argus.
