DREAVER CUP GOES TO ASHLEY
UNBEATEN RECORD IN N.C. BASKETBALL COMPETITION The North Canterbury Basketball Association's competitions are now completed, and the Dreaver Cup goes to the Ashley team, who have not lost a match. The following are the points in order: Ashley 20, Rangiora A 17, Balcairn 16, Sefton 15, Oxford 12, Waikuku 8, Amberley 7, 'Clarkville 7, Cust 4, Coutts Island 2, and Rangiora B 2. The Representative B team lost their match against Lincoln 8-15. The matches against Canterbury are postponed until September 17. EMPLOYMENT FIGURES Figures supplied by the Rangiora Labour Bureau show that there are now > 43 men on sustenance. This week 28 men were placed on Scheme 13, and there are tc be more placements made next week. Registrations for the week total 32, including 28 men who have been discharged from the Ashley River Control Scheme.
