Hospital Suggested For Rangiora District
Alternative proposals for a hospital at Rangiora were placed before the North Canterbury Hospital Board by the Director-General of Health (Dr M. H. Watt) last week. His first suggestion was that- the establishment of a private and surgical hospital should be encouraged by offering a subsidy to the licensee of the existing maternity hospital. If that could not be carried out, necesary ad u dition to provide for general and surgical cases should be made. The proposals were referred to the hospital committee for consideration.
