Coming-Of-Age Party At Kaiapoi
On Monday evening in the Oddfellows' Hall, Mr and Mrs R. J. Bartley entertained guests, to celebrate the coin-ing-of-age of their son, Douglas. The evening was spent. enjoyably in games and dancing. The toast to the guest of honour was proposed by Mr H. Tavendale. The toast to the parents was proposed to by Mr H. Fitzsimmohs and responded to by Mr 11, J. Bartley. Winners of games held were Mrs R. Bartley and Miss Pat Thompson. An amusing song was sung by Mrs E. Jensen. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr A. 0. Eyles. Mr A .Thompson was M.C. Among those present were Mr and Mrs R. J. Bartley, Mr and Mrs G. Thompson, Mr and Mrs P. Clark, Mr and Mrs H. J. Fitzsimmons (Belfast), Mr and Mrs A. E. Bartley, Mr and Mrs A. 0. Eyles, Mesdames W. G. Reddish (Lower Hutt), E. Jensen (Timaru), A. Burgess (New Brighton), Misses N. Borland, P. Thompson, F. Miles, D. and C. Thompson, J. Fisher (New Brighton), L. and J. Thompson, N. Burgess (New Brighton), E. Clark, E. Fitzsimmons, V. and M. Bartley.
