The following ranking ladder has been announced by the North Canterbury Lawn Teimis Sub-Association:— Men—L. G. Watkins, G. Carpenter, W. Wade, A. S. Nash, A. Woodward, W. E. Minty, G. Melirtens, E. Knowles, M. Lilley, R. H. Harris, J. D. Appleby, A. C. Fraser, H. Jamieson, L. M. Wade, N. Taylor, V. Skurr, Mrs G. Taylor, G. A. Robertson, K. Halligan. Women—Mrs A. C. Fraser, Misses M. Made, N. Taylor, B. Skurr, Mrs G. Mehrtens, Misses T. Edlin, D. Tyler, M. Watkins, A. Dalzell, M. Logan, Mrs Martyn, Misses B. Watkins, P. Pearce, D. Vette, A. Kirwan, S. Bassett. All Association players have the right to challenge for any position on the ladder until the end of December, 1937. All challenges must be forwarded to the secretary, Mr Denton, in writing, and must be played within one week. Matches are the best of three sets, the third advantage.
