WELLINGTON, Wed (P.A.).—An instance of the rise in value of silver over recent years was g r ' r en by Mr £. 8. Dean at a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Olympic and British .umpire Games Association. < Mr Dean said the recent revaluation in Sydney of the Biedisloe Cup, emblem of Rugby supremacy between Australia and New Zealand, had shown that the cup wap now worth £SOO, compared with the original cost of about £l5O. The question of values was raised when the meeting discussed lending the Lonsdale Cup to the Auckland committee for the Games. ■ It was stated that the cup, now worth £25, was one of li miniatures presented some years ago to competing nations in the British Empire Games festivals.
