Mother Of 7 Wins £2OOO

INVERCARGILL, Thu. (P.A.)—

The winner of the £2OOO in the art union drawn yesterday was Mrs J. C. Waters, mother of seven children.

“The money will not be wasted,” said Mrs Waters. “We will not be flying away for a trip anywhere. It could not have come at a better time. We have been struggling for years and the money will be a great help. We are having alterations made to the house and the first £IOOO at least will be put to good use.”

Mrs Waters has five girls, two of whom are married, and two boys. Three of the children are still at school. Mr Waters, a landscape gardener, was compelled to retire some years ago because of ill-health.
