Rich Field For Bottle Drive Organisers
TAURANGA, Thu., (Sp.).— After the Christmas holidays of 1947-48, 15.000 dozen empty beer bottles were collected at Mt Maunganui and last season the figure was given at 20,000 dozen.
These figures were quoted before the .Licensing Control Commission yesterday. The need for an additional wholesale licence to serve the Bay of Plenty area and for the issue of two publicans’ licences at Mount Maunganui was emphasised by witnesses.
