Wellington - Sydney Flyingboat Service

WELLINGTON, Wed. (Sp.).—A flyingboat link between Wellington and Sydney will commence from April 1, 1950, according to a tentative schedule drav/'n up by Tasman Empire Airways Ltd.

This provides for three or four flights to and from Sydney each week, in addition to seven a. week to and from Auckland.

The sen/ice will be operated by the new Solent*.

It is suggested that they leave Wellington at noon and reach Sydney at 8.15 p.m. Australian time. The inward service will leave Sydney at midnight Australian time and reach Wellington at 8.15 aaru Actual flying time will be six and a quarter hours.
