WELLINGTON, Tue. (Sp.).—The New Zealand amateur boxing championships began in Wellington yesterday. The standard of boxing was good.

Not Participating
WELLINGTON, Mon (P.A.).— Owing to a strained back, the middleweight title-holder Morrie Tuck (Greymouth), is not participating in the New Zeland amateur _ boxing championships which began this afternoon. The lightweight champion, Vern Tuck, did not enter as he has received medical advice to retire from Ijoxing.
