Mrs Seyb Wins At Wellsford

The Wellsford Ladies' club's open championship was held on Saturday. Conditions were perfect and the fixture was an unqualified success. Miss R. Hodges, who would have been the lowest marker at the tourney was unable to take part after her in-ter-provincial match at Taumarunui the day previously. Results were:— 36 hole gross. Moss Cup;—Mrs E. Seyb (Whg) 81—83—164: runner-up, Mrs A. C. Aplin ?Whg) 60—85—165.

36 hole net medal: Mrs H. Lawson 'Whg) 75—66—141 won on a countback from Mrs Riley (Rodney) also 141.

18 holes senior net medal: Mrs Simpson (Wc-llsl'ord) 85—15—70 won on the countback from Mrs Worker 'Wellsford) 70 net. WHANGAREI WINS TEAM MATCH 18 hole Intermediate Medal. Mrs Gant, Dargaville (Northland Junior Champion) 79 net, won on the countback from Mrs A. Heape (Whau Valley) 79 net. 18 hole junior net medal, Mrs Riley (Rodney) 97—27—70 won on the countback from Mrs McNaughton (Wellsford).
