AUCKLAND, Sat. (Spec. Reporter). —From mid-forenoon crowds streamed into Eden Park for the AustraliaNew Zealand Rugby test, and by early afternoon the numbers approached the 40,000 mark. Trains, trams and motor cars brought people to the park today. The handling of the crowd was a job for 130 men, mostly on turnstiles and gates. Prominent visitors inch’ded Mr A. R. Cutler, V.C., High Commissioner for Australia; Mr D. Max, president of the .New Zealand Rugby Union; and Mr A. St Clair Belcher (chairman) and Mr A. E. Neilson (secretary) of the New Zealand Rugby Union. After 20 minutes, the New Zealand defence failed to clear and Solomon dived over to score. Lawsey converted. Australia's, New Zealand 0. Five minutes later Windon opened up play and went over for Australia’s second try. Lawsey missed. Australia 8, New Zealand 0.
