Mt Albert- Seat

AUCKLAND, Wed. <Sp.>. Nine nominations, including two women, had been received for the National Party candidate for the Mt Albert seat when nominations closed at 5 p.m. yesterday. The official candidate will be selected on September 15. The seat is held by Mr W. W. Freer (Labour), who was elected by a majority of 1153 votes at a by-election held in September. 1947. The National Party’s candidate for the Avon scat will be Mr G. N. Kinzett. a Christchurch business man. He is 33 years of age.
